Toba: Selected Works

Toba’ (to become) (2024–2027, in development) A major body of work in sculpture, masks, pottery, and mixed media painting exploring the artist’s process of reconnecting with her Choctaw heritage.

Using Oklahoma clay and materials sourced from both Choctaw Nation and Northern California, the project integrates traditional ceramic practices with contemporary forms. The work centers on personal and ancestral memory, emphasizing transformation, identity, and the reactivation of cultural knowledge through material practice.
